GOD lives external to time.

Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the Lord. “No, I am far away at the same time. Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the Lord.

Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.”
“A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.“

Like an author writing a story, if he so chooses, he can rewrite the opening scene to affect the final outcome. Like characters in the story we would not know It changed. The difference is that HE has no need to change anything, because HE knows everything, as if that author could write the entire story perfectly, with no changes, on the first try. Even more, write the story all at once, writing the closing scene even as he opens the story.

Why does this matter?

Understanding this helps us to see that when predictions haven’t come true, it doesn’t mean they won’t. This universe is not a cliff-hanger, not a nail-biter. Oh there is plenty of suspense from our perspective, because of how and when the details will play out; like the reader of the story. But what is predicted will happen. For example, Daniel 12:4-5 (New Living Translation) “...seal up the book until the time of the end, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase.” is underway. Just look at the transportation industry and AI.

One of the prophesies that have not been fulfilled yet is Revelation 13:16-17 (NLT) “He required everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark”. This, of course, is impossible, it could never be enforced, that is, until now. with the knowledge we have we can place microchips in people and merchandise and set it up so that a person’s bank account will automatically be debited. So for the first time, this is now becoming possible.

One could argue that the universe is an impossibility, in that we can find no boundaries, and it is expanding at an ever-increasing rate! Scientists expect that sometime soon they will track a distant galaxy as it fades out of sight because it is moving away from us at the speed of light! Plus, there are other things science cannot explain about the universe. There are theories, the Big Bang is the most popular, but the expansion of an explosion does not match the accelerating expansion of the cosmos. The current drive is to find “dark matter” and “dark energy” because gravitational force from known matter is about 5% of what is predicted by General Relativity. Dark energy is theorized to account for some 68% of the energy needed for the otherwise unexplained acceleration of expansion. “Dark matter and dark energy are mysterious substances that affect and shape the cosmos, and scientists are still trying to figure them out.” NASA. So we cannot find the energy and matter required for our universe to act as it does.

That is to say that the belief in the Big Bang and General Relativity requires faith, it could be that, as with every theory of the past, they will eventually be superseded. So. to say that we know how it works is a matter of faith as well. Could it be that it is held together by GOD? To say it is not is also an act of faith.

It is axiomatic that the universe exists, is very large and complex. So it is with the martyrdom of thousands of Christians throughout the intervening centuries, or at least according to the documented history of myriad cultures. The reason that no peoples have been martyred as the Jews and Christians is that they, exclusively, proffer one GOD, almighty, absolutely righteous, all loving, and all good, as the source of the universe.

In time, it will be an axiom that, of the Bible’s predictions, some have come to pass, some, to date, not yet, but none, not one, is wrong.

For GOD is real, infinitely powerful, present in all places, knowing all things, not limited, even by time itself.
